Brilliant speech Matt, but utterly depressing particularly as so many of your audience with their cushioned and pampered lives won’t have a clue what you’re talking about. And even if they do, they won’t care because their global agenda is the only thing that matters. The plebs don’t matter to them, apart from as worker drones. All that matters is that chaos is created in order to have excuses to bring in ever more legislation to control us.

If people can’t see by now that wanting a sovereign, independent home for British people with its wonderful culture and history, is not a racist endeavour, then I’m not sure what will get through to them. If they can’t see that not wanting thousands of men from countries which regard women as trash to be used and abused isn’t racist, I’m not sure what will. If they’re happy to allow sharia courts, cousin marriage, rape gangs, sectarian violence, terrorist attacks in order to continue their ‘diversity is our strength’ mantra, then I can only think that they’re so deluded as to be unreachable. Thank goodness that so many are waking up via Unite the Kingdom, Raise the Colours and the commenters and citizen journalists such as Matt etc. We can only hope that it’s not too late to turn things around. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Problem is so many Britons still have their heads in the sand? I want to kick them I really do let’s hope they wake up soon as they have had enough warning.

Northbound on a train the other day I overheard a Scotsperson declare that Britain’s biggest problem was English nationalism. I didn’t catch the rest of his patter. To be kind we might regard him as a naive liberal idealist but such people should be made to understand the consequences of their beliefs. They don’t seem to see that in a society governed by a coalition of people whose cultures are those of Pakistan, Nigeria, and the other benighted places mentioned by Matthew will hardly be a liberal paradise. I sometimes wonder whether the highest aspiration of a liberal is to be a servant of something bigger and more powerful than himself.

Ha! That’s rich coming from Scotland. It’s infuriating when you think of their reaction if we said the same to them or to any other race in fact. It’s only the English who aren’t allowed any pride in the nation state.

Not withstanding this excellent speech Matt. The next question that Reform needs to answer is how it moves on from its immigration-justice sweet spot. I was out leaflet dropping for Reform in my local area in Shropshire. People liked what Reform were doing BUT for some it was how are Reform going to improve the Economy, Improve the NHS and GP access, Improve Education. They like Nigel and they like Zia BUT where’s the real back up who talks on the Economy, Health, Education, Business. They want to see some flesh on the bones before they commit their vote. This used to be a solid Conservative vote area now it’s very marginal both at Council and MP level. They have seen the rally’s in Birmingham but want to see more. It will be interesting to see in the next 2 weeks whether Kemi Badenochs conference speech has moved the dial (I don’t think it will) Although Reform is a new party and doesn’t have any barnacles on the keel at some stage Reform will have to set out its philosophy and policies to harden its good poll ratings.

You've already got the Wet Tory Establishment backtracking on ditching Net Zero so any Tory bounce will be short-lived.

But you are right that Reform desperately need to start developing policies on subjects other than immigration that credibly add up and would survive scrutiny in Parliament.

I'm feeling pretty gloomy about the state of affairs in our country at the moment. Your speech lays bare the crisis we are currently living through and articulates so precisely the exact problem. And there are more - disappearance of free speech, suppression of native, indigenous Brits, state control and over-reach, 2 tier policing & judiciary, a corrupt and ever-increasing deep state and over-riding this all a government that lies and denies it, gaslights us as it drives our country into a financial quagmire and closer and closer to a communist state. Sigh.

But I will not give up.

I will not succumb to them - neither the communists nor the islamists. My flag flies high, I've straightened my spine, lifted my head and I know that good will prevail over this evil trying to over-take us.

A great speech as always Matt. The discussions after were also enlightening. Frightening what is happening throughout Europe!

Over five years after Nigel's farewell speech waving the Union Jack, Matt was welcomed like a hero. His talk was delivered to MEPS from right-wing parties whose outlook is identical to that of Reform UK and who have a close relationship with the Trump administration. Remember what NIgel said in his 2020 speech: "We look forward to working with you in the future as sovereign partners." That's what Matt is doing. The core message is to save Western civilization from destruction by the immigrationist and woke ideology being rolled out by the EU dictatorship.

I agree with your five year test (and it must be a formal test) in relation to:

effective language, both written and spoken;

financial self-sufficiency;

crime free; and

non-reliance on welfare state

- but in relation to the family unit, not just the breadwinner.

To which I would add tested cultural integration.

And another issue which is by far the biggest and which one is barely allowed to mention these days. You can guess.

And the five year tests would be repeated until it became clear that these issues were fully embedded.

I suggest there should be a limit how many five year work visas can be issued and/or hiow many years out of (say) 10-15 can be spent here in that way. We do not want people becoming settled in practice even if not naturalised in law.

Very poor speech Matt. It is not enough to end mass immigration, we need to reverse it. It was done without consent since 1997. Send back the Boris wave by all means and remove the 2 million, not 1 million illegals.

We need to reverse mass immigration where there is no cultural intellectual and fiscal benefit. Where there is anti white racism poor cultural fit, serious crime and benefit dependency. Those who came in good faith to live, work contribute and love the country people culture are welcome.

20-40% reject British identity? They should leave.

We need to drastically reduce the Islamic demography. Will India Pakistan Nigeria China Afghanistan etc replicate the successes of the Anglo Saxon protestant culture?

Reform should adopt Rupert Lowe Mass deportations policy. Reform is nowhere on policy. Shame Farage couldn't recognise and retain a talent like Lowe. It is a brilliant piece of work.

Your article on the Boris Wave was superb.

We need a red list. The English must NEVER be allowed to become an ethnic minority in their own country.

I am glad you referenced a million children raped. Please detail your analysis for that figure. MSM still say thousands, i believe you are correct.

Also 4 million net, we need the gross figure. If a million hard working successful British people left, the gross figure is worse.

I second Natasha's request for an analysis of just how many children have been abused/raped over the longer term. Matt can you provide this please, perhaps in an upcoming article?

I wonder how the questions went. Were you accused of racism as you would have been in Britain, were you hounded on the streets and subject to abuse. Did anyone in the audience have any ideas on how to overcome this pronlem.

An excellent speech Matt,I hope that you had a few of them frowning in deep thought at the realisation that this might easily refer also to the future of their own countries and you don't mention whether the speech ended with a standing ovation or po faced silence.

The only other issue about the speech which I would raise is when you mention that future immigrants in order to achieve a five year visa extension, will have to demonstrate fluent English, a net contribution to the economy,no criminal record and no reliance on state benefits but would it not save much unnecessary investigation at the five year stage if these requirements were imposed before admission was granted in the first place.

Profound and absolutely necessary speech Matt and I do wonder how it was received? Radical intervention is essential, however I am not sure we can wait until the next General Election because of the increasing pace of all the unwanted changes, societal infiltration and degradation you mentioned. Personally I am increasingly depressed by the polarisation that is happening here and elsewhere, driven by the forces you have mentioned as well as a dependency on social media news, lack of critical thinking, dichotomous thinking and a generation that has been raised in a fairly stable world. 'Reform' is needed now!

Dear Matthew,

It must have taken quite a lot of courage to deliver such a speech at the European Parliament, whose members are, in their majority, in favour of immigration into Europe.I wonder how they responded. Would you agree to tell this Substack community about the MEPs' reactions. As a Frenchman, I would be curious to know whether you met François-Xavier Bellamy and Sarah Knafo.

Thank you for your indefatigable work.

Kind regards.

Jean-Bernard

Excellent speech. Whilst revealing the depressing reality with hard facts and figures, I am aware recently that serious plans are being or have been drawn up by right minded people from different parties/ allegiances to reverse the trends. That can only be a good thing - to build support for these policies for an incoming government. The country desperately needs strong and courageous leaders to drive change-something Reform appears to have, and qualities the Conservatives failed to show when in power.

Excellent reflections on how the population is shaped by this uncontrolled phenomenon. Sadly I see no end, whilst we have this hapless shower in government, a divided opposition and the Lib Dem’s led by a madman. And please don’t mention the Greens, they’re as tasteless as those my mother served at supper.
