Thanks Matt . Some very good results and some near misses . I was stressing half the night, kept waking up and checking my phone ! Excellent re Runcorn and getting a female MP and a mayor which will silence one avenue of criticism
I disagree, having two female Reform winners won't silence any criticism.
Having a Muslim co-owner or "chairman" hasn't stopped the establishment branding Reform as far right and Islamophobic, etc.
Boris packed his cabinets with minorities and opened the borders for the Boriswave. The Tories have played identity politics far harder than Labour - look where it has got them.
I concur Badger, this obssession with females in positions of power I think can be destructive, I believe feminism has been a large factor in the breakdown of family life, perhaps this is why we fail to procreate at a sufficient rate. I may be old fashioned but I do think women are too "pushy", emasculating men, and making them feel worthless.I think Reform have made a mistake having a Muslim chairman, and the removal of their star MP Mr. Lowe.
I agree too. I really am only interested in merit. If a woman can offer something of value by being a woman, great, if not, token women are a big no no. Totally agree re Yusuf, he will not be keen on de islamafying UK, it might even put his life at risk. Rupert is top man but if you have manly men there will be competition and challenges.
I too agree on the feminism issue, when I was involved in feminism it was really about choice, but has turned into what is now a rather nasty ideology. I also remember how those of us who wanted to stay home for at least until full school started for the children were demonised for not wanting to work. It really has been negative all round, and I absolutely hate the way men have been feminised, and if they refuse called toxic. It has been a complete disaster.
Nice to hear women (actual females) voicing what many of us males wouldn't be allowed to state in print. Current feminists don't seem to realize that, short of Hitlerian eugenics, there's going to be a lot of people born male for a good time yet. So what to do about them? Basically, it's damned if you do and damned if you don't. I even had to take my partner (no standard feminist) to task for dismissing certain males as 'weak' when they're not allowed to be strong and anyway there's a fine dividing line between being 'weak' and just being a 'nice guy' or (sensibly) wanting to stay out of trouble.
Just the fact that the party is owned and CONTROLLED by two people is cause for concern. And that one is a member of a political organisation that brings its own laws to the land, makes it an existential threat. Those laws are not just alien to the country, they have been shown to be extremely disruptive: just look at the Lebanon (which I have followed for over 40 years) and, more recently, Turkey, where Atatürk's strategy has been largely undone:
Even if Reform had an entire shadow cabinet of women and Moslems, it would not stop the left culture warriors from banging on about right-wing conspiracies. BUT there is a slow effect on the 'silent majority' of voters who are vaguely centrist and are bewildered by what's going on politically. The 'message' has presumably got through to the 'normal' voter -- but there's too much vested interest in woke for it to subside in the near future. The self-styled lib-lab elite will fight to the death to defend their position and they'll fight dirty. The end is not in sight yet.
I agree badger. How many female MP's demanded a national enquiry into the rape and torture of up to a million working class children by ordinary day to day muslims? It disgusted me the number who declined/abstained.
I like Andrea Jenkyns though.
We need men and women of courage who don't care about labels but will do what is right for the country.
Local elections are not as important as the General Election whenever it happens. Locals can give a bloody nose and has this time, but now we need to see how Reform carries on from here ie support and positive backing from central office for the mayor and MP, plus the councillors being backed. Remember Zia has sacked whole area groups at a whim, so vital now we know that there an overall policy of working with representatives at all levels. If the Reform2025 owners prove themselves supportive and constructive from now, then a vote at Gen Elect. worth it.
Hi Matt, thank you for your work. It seems to me the rape gang scandal should be discussed by influential commentators as a Crime Against Humanity as defined by the 2002 Rome Statute which set up the ICC. Where states fail to properly investigate/cover up the ICC can step in do the work. Just a thought on such a momentous day.
If they cannot gain voter traction against an openly Marxist government they really are finished.
As a former life long Tory that’s very sad but I still have no idea what they stand for now but I certainly knew what they stood for when in power ie ruination of our country, so any trust has gone.
FWIW, I think Tory and Labour governments alike are terrified and paralyzed by the thought that the slightest glitch in GDP could turn into a rout. So they feel as if they are on a helter skelter they can't get off!
In a way that is consistent with what you say, but it isn't bankers and investors directly running the show, but just their very presence, standing by like vultures, which inhibits the government from much or any action which could improve the situation longer term at the cost of temporary disruption.
It isn't obvious how a "second tier" country, like the UK these days (arguably), can avoid that, because the fear of a financial rout is not entirely unfounded.
Matt, thanks for staying up and hanging on in there. Just needs you to stick around as Reform have every opportunity to fall apart, failing to live up to expectations and having the established parties and MSM throwing everything at them.
But Andrea Jenkins’ comments were concerning, there are no depths to which the other parties won’t sink in their dirty tricks campaign to thwart Reform. You could tell Labour were worried when they took out personal attack ads on Nigel. Then we had the far left goons at the Runcorn count chanting that Nigel is a “racist”.
Then the msm’s main take is that Reform won by “just 6 votes” as though that was the story itself! Lucky and narrow winners! Let’s ignore the wider significance!
But onwards and upwards we go , membership over 226,700 and increasing still by over 200 a day.
Congratulations to all the Reformers! Nigel came out of retirement to help take on the establishment once more. The insults thrown are water on a ducks back and this stance works. The party is still quite in its infancy but by golly what progress and promise we are seeing to bring back common sense to this great country. Keep calm and carry on reforming.
I too stayed up until 4.00 am, but when I heard there was going to be a recount I went to bed, but my son in Glasgow rang me to tell me the good news about Runcorn. They did well in Lincolnshire too, and at present have gained the most councillors. Onwards and upwards.
Reform now have their foot in the door to many more places and can take the chance to prove to voters and their critics alike that they can take us to a win and the change we need at the next election 👍
Thanks for staying up all night so we didn’t have to! Amazing news this morning. So exciting.
Well done Reform!

As the mother of three sons, I see the unfairness , Sebastian.
The voters don’t appear to agree with you.

Excellent news! Reform are proud of our country and will put Britain first.

See you all at 4 pm. Fantastic result 👏
One thing is clear
The Tories are finished
If they cannot gain voter traction against an openly Marxist government they really are finished.
As a former life long Tory that’s very sad but I still have no idea what they stand for now but I certainly knew what they stood for when in power ie ruination of our country, so any trust has gone.
This government is hypa Liberal and pro open borders Globalisation.
It's not Marxist. It's completely captured by international Woke finance/ The Merchant Class/ Oligarchy, just like the Torys.
The Left are just useful idiots. The Bankers are driving this project (across the West).
FWIW, I think Tory and Labour governments alike are terrified and paralyzed by the thought that the slightest glitch in GDP could turn into a rout. So they feel as if they are on a helter skelter they can't get off!

Look forward to your full analysis… exciting times👍
Woken up to such fantastic news! We're making headway in no small way.
Brilliant 🤩 some great news to wake up to this morning x thank you Matt x

Great news of course.
