Now, the book needs to be savagely boiled down to the minimum words and punchy images, put in a leaflet that MASSIVELY distributed and printed or 'the right' will fail again. In fact, Matt, this was apparent during the early days of the brainwashing of the public over ‘climate change’. The opposing scientists were not given the air of publicity……the climate change decision had been made by the elite/government and all opposition was shut down. And how did that work out folks?? Do we really believe that Miliband, for gods sake, is the scientific genius saving us from doom? What you have managed to do, Matt, is shoot their fox on immigration - and you deserve the success your book has received. All the nay sayers will come to learn their fate sooner than they think, if your data is not accepted and if Reform do not get power. And sadly at that point the rush from the UK of all tax paying, hard working individuals will be enormous…..for who would want their children to be brought up in the resulting mayhem, crime and scum. And then what do the socialists do for money!

Me too! When I coughed up the extra £1.50 to get my copy from the Post Office it appeared that the distributor had tried to get away with posting it as a large letter at £1.80. As we had paid £5.50 for postage and packing, I thought this was a bit mean of them!

Interesting how you describe how the publishing "gate keepers", dilute and edit almost all books into their idea of "acceptable" material. I am currently reading Robert Galbraith's (aka JK Rowling) The Hallmarked Man and it is noticeable the number of times there seems to be a pointless, but deliberate and derogatory, reference to something Donald Trump supposedly said. Either the great author really hates Trump, to bother with such unnecessary asides, or someone else edited them in there. Either way, it fits perfectly how you describe in publishing, as in all other walks of life, how ideologically driven people want to "steer the conversation", even in a fictional book.
Afaik JKR's only problem with the left is the trans issues, so her taking swipes at Trump seem more likely than her allowing anyone else to corrupt her script even though Trump has probably done more than any other politician recently to protect women. 🙄👍

Ofcom have explicitly instructed all journalists in writing that there is no need to give balanced reporting on climate change! I wonder why?! 👍

Since the 90s at least, there have been book publishers in North America producing conservative-themed books. Not so unusual.
