Eva is a great speaker - very intelligent and articulate and far from extreme. She represents old school conservativism. Devout, patriotic astute to see what is happening in Europe. The word Orwellian is bandied about but it really is the case here. There appears to be no attempt to allow free speech and it's because Starmer cannot win the hearts and minds of men with his argument; he has to resort to coercion. We are having basic democracy suppressed now with the cancellation of the May local elections which we cannot seem to do anything about. The only demonstration I went on was against the banning of foxhunting which I regard as a libertarian issue; I don't want to do it and wonder about the people who do - but they should be allowed to hunt if they wish. Nobody took any notice because we were so well behaved. Banning elections is a whole new ball game and it's happening right now.

I would like to see a crowdfunding legal challenge as it would test the validity of the refusal to allow her into the UK. Unfortunately the Tories proved themselves totally useless for 14yrs which has resulted in the present semi/ Stalinist state we now live under.
A 29-year-old Dutch woman with a law degree, no criminal record and a passport was just barred from the UK like some cartel boss — for the crime of having opinions the ruling class doesn’t like. No court. No charges. No explanation. Just a sniffy Home Office line declaring her “not conducive to the public good”. Translation: shut up or stay out.
This is the same Britain that waves through illegal migrants by the boatload, shrugs at Islamist networks, and trips over itself to avoid “offending” anyone with a beard and a grievance. But a conservative speaker? Red alert. National emergency. Ban her now.
The message couldn’t be clearer. If you parrot the approved lines on mass migration, identity, and decline, you’re welcome. If you question them, you’re a threat.
Ministers lecture us about tolerance while quietly policing thought. Police chase tweets. Schools warn kids that worrying about borders is “far-right”. And now the state decides who may enter based on ideology.
This isn’t confidence. It’s fear.
A country that bans speakers instead of debating them isn’t liberal, democratic, or free. It’s brittle, authoritarian — and panicking.

Stein was hounded out by Ofcom because he told truth to power over the rape gangs. We have active suppression of free speech going on in this country. Whose decision was this - the Home Office or the Foreign Office or just some arbitrary civil servant of under-secretary?
This is a very impressive lady. Apart from anything else, her English is flawless. What she says makes perfect sense.
The issue we are facing is that of propaganda. Shabana Mahmoud is being lauded as a strong, sensible home secretary. So were Priti Patel and Suella Braverman. Look what happened to them. The same will happen to Shabana. Her party will not permit her to do what is required at the scale needed.
Craig Guildford is a case in point. Of course he should go, but all we hear are excuses. If the home secretary cannot directly fire him, she should certainly be able to pull the appropriate levers to get rid of him pretty promptly. He has lied to parliament and the country, which is never a good look and a truly shocking one when done by a senior police officer.
Mind you, West Midlands police does not have a good history, Many years ago, it was the West Midlands Regional Crimne Squad that was proved to have doctored statements and other documents to obtain a conviction which was subsequently overturned. No change there then.
It is all about closing down opinions the Left does not like. No doubt Lord Hermer of the Chagos Islands (hand them over & pay £101m pa to rent them back!) was influential in this decision.
