We’ll never get the right parties and politicians elected without addressing voter apathy. The 25% turnout at the Manchester mayoral election was truly shocking. People need to have the life frightened out of them, but I fear if those scenes from Ceuta don’t do it then nothing will.
Matt’s post bringing a dose of reality after all the media noise over the weekend. ‘They went back’, ‘it was a Morrocan plot’, ‘it’s on African territory’ etc etc. All irrelevant. What those horrifying scenes show is that essentially Europe has no borders. Completely vunerable. And European leaders having a Zoom call on Monday to discuss the matter is hardly confidence building. Meloni and a few others taking unilateral action (or promising to) is something but not much. We have now seen, in just a few hours, what is possible and Europe is entirely unprepared.
You’ve got a few words in there that probably upset the mod bots. Nicely illustrates an earlier point that a problem can’t be solved if you are not allowed to talk about it. 🙂
Indeed. And it means that even if the boat crossings are stopped, other ways will be found. Labour is offering safe and legal routes, there are the skilled worker routes which are often anything but. In other words, the root causes of mass immigration of mostly young men, must be addressed.
Indeed. I watched a feature on GB News Charlie Peters on the road with the highest number of skilled work visas in the country . They were for serving in a fast food chicken shop etc. Another business owner openly said he wouldn’t employ British people because there were so many people in other countries wanting to come here. My question is who is handing out these visas? They are clearly working against the best interests of this country and being allowed to do this. They advertise the jobs at above the salary threshold and pay them less when they arrive .
Britain reminds me of a dog riddled with lice and worms . All sucking the life blood out of the dog in their own interests not caring about the increasingly moribund dog . We cannot go on like this the British bull dog must be saved by addressing the problems severely . It will never happen under Burnham
Exactly Lesley. Unfortunately I feel unable to suggest how this is happening as my comment may be hidden again. Let’s just say that infiltration into positions of power and influence isn’t just a Fabian strategy.
Many good points, again. But Reform demonstrates the inability to communicate with ‘ordinary’ voters AGAIN with the appalling result from the Manchester; roughly 300,000 votes for Labour, roughly half that number for Reform, HALF. And my Reform branch blames ‘thick’ Manchester voters. Tut, tut, never blame the voters, look in the mirror at your useless campaign communications strategy. Banging on to a few supporters online is NOT the way to win. Until Reform sorts this out, you won’t win a goldfish at a village fair.
Then we need to get the Woke and Uniparty out. Else it won’t happen. The Right need to sort themselves out pronto. Really expose the establishment. They are getting totally drowned out and discredited. A response is needed. Hard.
The communication about this that annoyed me the most has been telling us the incursion was not organised . So we are to believe that 60,000 mostly young men were out for a stroll near the border at the same time and spontaneously decided to cross it ?
Having had a trial run and seeing that borders can be breached relatively easily how likely is it that won’t be tried again. Readiness and prevention was why Trump was saying he would build a wall. We have a channel we won’t defend and have no effective navy .
Is our government gaslighting us because they feel unable to respond for various reasons , international law, upsetting the neighbours , lack of the necessary .
Or can they genuinely not see what’s coming , as so many on the left seem unable to do
The main problem that governments refuse to address 8 billion humans on this planet, this number after WWII was some 2 billion. Huge numbers cannot exist without food from the numerous charities and most live in corrupt countries where the president and his cronies are multi millionaires. Then we have hideous dictatorships like Iran.
Let the political class know that this weakness and suicidal empathy will provoke a reaction. The reaction will be very strong and powerful, and they would do well to think about it carefully.
Thanks again, Matt! And, folks, please check out the novel "Camp of the Saints," which predicted all this some 50 years ago. It was long out of print, and Amazon made it difficult to order when a new translation was published.
Matt you have given a stark and precise warning of what is unfolding before our very eyes. A stark clear warning that too many will ignore, it will be ignored by those that will dismiss you as a far right mouthpiece that must be dismissed and shamed for daring to state the truth. it will be ignored by far too many cosy in their way of life not wanting to acknowledge the very clear writing on the wall, blinded to the fact that if they don't open their eyes wide the comfortable world that they believe will always remain so almost certainly in the very near future will be swept away, perhaps not in their lifetimes but most certainly in their children's.
I don't know what scares me the most, the left woke virtue signalling progressives that now have a firm grip on this country or the totally apathetic public that sit like rabbits in the headlights waiting to be obliterated.
Good to know the facts but when are we going to do something about it? All I ever hear is talk. Yes we need a radical change of government but the people who vote Labour etc. will never read Matt's articles.
The right needs to get it's act together and fast. The offer by Rupert Lowe needs to be accepted so that we can get a government who will act rather than talk. The split in the right is ridiculous when the nation is in such dire need.

My comment has been hidden yet again! This is beyond a joke.

Mustn’t criticise the religion of peace and contravene the blasphemy/not blasphemy laws/not laws.
Ironic that your call to have things ‘openly discussed’ has been hidden!
Exactly.
You raise an excellent point too TT. Where does the money come from indeed?

It is much easier to quickly &
permanently change a country by mass third world immigration (legal as well as illegal) than it is by trying to impose left wing socialism!

Rocketship Britain is a better narrative vehicle. It offers hope. It transmits novelty, Captain.
