The down-playing of left wing violence has a long history. Giles Udy's book 'Labour and the Gulag' explores how the Labour Party tended to minimise Soviet violence. The far-left are typically strong believers in their cult's ideology, with very poor self-awareness and a strong tendency to project their own faults onto people who disagree with them.

I first experienced left-wing violence and intimidation, as a 16-year-old National Front activist, over 50 years ago, while electioneering for an NF candidate in a local election, in Hull in 1975.
When the National Front held an anti-mugging march in Lewisham, London, in 1977, the Left organised the worst political violence this country has witnessed since the 1930s. Bricks, concrete, stones, sulphuric acid and caustic soda were hurled at lawful marchers and police officers. I was on that march. I will never forget it.

I went on a couple of Brexit marches which were great fun and totally peaceful. Nonetheless, the accompanying police all had their riot gear with them because Brexiteers were viewed as if not far right, at least right and therefore prone to violence. Indeed there was violence, with flares bering thrown, but not by the demonstrators. Rather, the left counter protesters kicked off.
I also find it interesting to note that whenver Hope not Hate and similar groups turn up, they are always fully masked, wearing darkened goggles. The same applies to Palestinian marchers.
The left really are useful idiots, albeit being of extremely limited use to society as a whole. That they are idiots is indisputable. This crop probably never visited the Eastern Bloc during communism. I did. I can promise you that if they were forced to live like that, they would really kick off. Except of course they would not because the Stasi would 'vanish' them.
The left has cozied up to Islam, along with all thier gay and trans 'values', all of which are forbidden in Islam. However, it is also taught that lying to further the cause if Islam is fine. It is called taqiya. Try taking a a gay or trans march to Gaza and see what would happen. The only saving grace might be that there are no tall buildings left but murderous Islam is quite creative.
