Back from your holiday with some positive news Matt……..we have missed you! Now all we have to do is withstand the arrival of the new, unmandated, unwanted, conman of the north to rip some more money from the hard workers and the people who have always paid their own way in life - to predictably give it to the unwanted incomers and the shirkers - thus making these inadequate MP’s feel ideologically glowing with pride in their ‘caring’. Roll on the complete collapse of Labour and a general election….make it soon, I am not getting any younger!

Always remember, it's people like us who want to remain a majority in our ancestral homeland, who reject hypa Progressive Liberalism (an acidonourcivilisatio), that reject the normalisation of degeneracy and want law and order back, are the moderate common sense side.

Should read *(an acid on our civilisation)

And there’s me thinking I’d missed another one of these super clever terms that had come into being to describe the collapse of our country! Why try it and see if it catches on😂

Thanks, Matt - this is your best post for a while.

The key to your success is that you work at the intersection of academia and political reality. I'm a Reform member but I don't need you as a conduit for Reform Party propaganda, but as an agent who can clarify why it makes sense.

Hopefully that 40% stat for Unite the Kingdom might persuade Tice to stop giving Tommy Robinson a kicking.

For years the main stream media including the BBC, largely populated by a woke liberal mindset has forced its viewpoint on the population. The BBC for example is no longer an impartial presenter of factual news reports, it has become a tool to enforce certain liberal opinions on the population. The views of the silent majority have been suppressed. The internet and social media has however allowed other news sources to flourish, which challenge and undermine the liberal mindset promulgated by the MSM. The silent majority’s views have long been ignored and squashed but there now exist many platforms through which they can be publicly expressed. Social media has forced surveys like the recent one to ask questions that just would not have been asked previously. The woke liberal mindset is losing control, that is why its main proponent, the present Government is seeking to control social media content by attacking free speech and prioritising its supportive traditional news sources. However they have lost the battle as the latest survey clearly demonstrates.

All true. We have failed at integration. We should stop all immigration until this is resolved - if that is possible. We have ghettoised areas of people who are in a majority in their area and will not integrate and have no intention of doing so. They actually wish to change our country to become as the one they left which is having a mediaeval religion which views women as second class citizens and despise their 'hosts' and are mandated to convert or eliminate us. There is no exaggeration here. These people are reproducing at the rate of 2.9 per woman (some with multiple wives) whereas we are reproducing at the rate of 1.3 per woman and a static population requires a reproduction rate of 2.1 per woman. The maths are simple and extremely disturbing - or should be.

Matt, Another really perceptive post. However, could you broaden your substack or your 8.00 broadcast to include informed discussion on other pressing issues.

Europe is rearming rapidly and on the verge of war with Russia and we are being dragged into it.

Could you broaden your substack post for a broader discussion on our relationship with Russia.

A common sense view would be that Russia is the largest country on earth with too few people to exploit its natural resources and no way on earth does Russia want more land. What they need is to work in partnership with the rest of Europe to develop their natural resources - war with Russia is completely idiotic.

Hope you had a good holiday. This shows encouraging trends. The challenge in terms of change is converting these pro British views of the silent majority into votes. 🙏

Again Matt, we all know this. What is Reform going TO DO about it? Preaching to your loyal echo chamber for brownie points does not win votes. Reform has lost 4 by-elections this year. What's Reform's plan? May I suggest a MASSIVELY improved media reach on multiple subjects, aimed at 'the man in the street' not just your readers who are a tiny percentage of voters. As well as a Reform by-election newspaper, which you interestingly avoid talking about, when is Reform going to present itself with solid, punchy, competent, popular spokesmen and women, hammering Economics, Climate nonsense, Crime, Borders (obviously) Education, Transport, the bloated Public Sector, Chinese influence in Westminster etc etc?? Economics is the No 1 subject but all Reform has is the truly hopeless, failed, wet, ex-Tory Jenrick - was he in the news last week? The week before? We've heard nothing from him.

More seriously, those who see us as extremist or even racists, may well see the world through a completely different lens. Their world is that of Startrek, where there are no longer any countries, just the regions as imagined by the United States of the EU, but expanded globally.

Their dreamland is often imagined for them in song and in the writings of our creative cohorts, hence their passionate and misguided support for all the extremists that threaten our way of life. If it’s a movement against the achievements of this country over the last 300 years then they are for it.

It therefore followers, that what is happening to our country now, is enabling these people to achieve their ambition to undo what they perceive to be our crimes of the past. If that means the country that was created by those alleged crimes is ultimately destroyed, then all the better. Make no mistake, we are in a battle for our survival as a nation created by our forefathers in the image of their forefathers. Adapted and adjusted to be the best it can be, but still to be the nation they would recognise and be proud of. At this moment in time, we are not winning this fight.

I think the fact that green voters are second in the list of those who think the social contract is broken distorts the 2/3 figure hugely because they would like to take measures to fix what they see as the social contract which would leave Reform voters feeling like the social contract has been damaged even more. They think the opposite of Reform voters so the 2/3 figure is misleading. The more shocking statistic is how many continue to vote for the Tories given their huge hand in creating this situation. Given all the other stats which heavily lean towards the views in this newsletter I am again staggered at why more aren't voting for the only party who actively says and has said from the start that they will tackle all these issues. Until Reform is polling at 40% continually I don't see how anything will change. That's no criticism of Reform as such, just me scratching my head at how the Tories are continuing to poll where they are.

Good point about the Greens. Seems to me their voters would be diametrically opposed to just about everything your average voter believes in.

I suspect that the amorphous centre-left-radical progressive know this and know also they have to trim their sails. They can do no other than brazen out and repudiate evidence such as this. At the same time if they wish to hold on to their jobs they have to follow Mahmood’s example - make adjustments at the margins so they can claim to be taking a ‘balanced approach’. Same applies to defence, welfare and net zero. The Ministry of Truth is going to have to work overtime.

For decades Britain's governing class has treated national identity as an embarrassing relic, replacing confidence with guilt and common purpose with endless identity politics. The result is a country where diversity became the destination, while unity was quietly abandoned somewhere along the way. Every warning about mass immigration, integration or social cohesion was dismissed as xenophobia by politicians, academics and BBC sermonisers who rarely experience the consequences of the policies they champion.

Now the public have delivered their own verdict. Millions believe the social contract is broken because the state no longer appears capable of controlling borders, enforcing equal laws or putting its own citizens first. Instead of listening, the establishment reached for the usual insults: racist, extremist, populist.

That trick is wearing thin. You cannot gaslight an entire nation forever. The louder the elite insist everything is fine, the more obvious the cracks become. Ignore the majority much longer and Britain's rulers may discover that the greatest threat to stability was never public anger—it was their own breathtaking arrogance.

Positive news, yes! But can Matt address the one aspect of Burnham's plans that terrifies me the most, that of changing our electoral system, or am I being unnecessarily pessimistic?

Jayne Neal Slaney's avatar

Great piece. The report is both edifying and encouraging, but 1) How do we get it "out there" and 2) How do we get those in power to acknowledge and act upon it? I can't say l have any confidence in the Cock o' the North doing anything. It's gratifying to know that the vast majority of British people, and probably the majority of the European continent, want our borders secured and all illegal/economic migrants - plus the legal migrants who don't add any benefit to the country and/or refuse to integrate - deported, but we're running out of time.

The liberal progressives are the extremists. Like you say, they represent less than 15% of the country but are trying to force their ideology on the rest of us, supported by big business, the media and internationalist institutions like the UN & EU. An organised minority are sticking it to the rest of the country ........
