Matt, thank you for highlighting these trends. It can be inferred from your framing you find the native British becoming a minority and the growth if Islam undesirable. Given you are now in Reform and seeking election, I assume Reform are aligned with your view. Could you confirm what you/the party propose is done about the situation? I haven’t yet read the book so you might well include policy remedies in the book, but as far as the party goes I can’t see anything that suggest Reform is seeking to prevent the native British population becoming a minority or the growth of Islam. Indeed, in that recent interview with Steven Edgington, Richard Tice said he wasn’t concerned about the White British becoming a minority. Could you enlighten your subscribers as to the exact position as there appears to be conflicting messages?

Reform think they can cut migration; they can’t realistically deliver “zero.”

- Tougher visa rules, lower legal migration, and longer waits for benefits are all achievable in principle.

- But “zero illegal migration” and blanket bans on asylum from “safe” countries collide with international law, practical enforcement limits, and the need for other countries’ cooperation.

- Even leaving European human‑rights frameworks would not erase all legal and diplomatic constraints.

- So the direction (much tougher and lower numbers) is partly doable; the absolute promises are mostly political rhetoric to signal toughness rather than literal, deliverable outcomes.

There very many sources this information is puled from, but, they seem to me to need harder and more concise policy.

The first thing to do is immediately cease all immigration unless absolutely essential - that would be a good start.

I haven't yet read the book either, but will only comment when I have. His interview this morning on the We Want Our Nation Back told me everything I wanted to know.

Where is my book, I ordered it a week or so ago? We know the problems, you are without doubt preaching to the converted: what we need are suggestions for a solution.

Toot The Shoot's avatar

Respectfully, it is not preaching and, most here wouldn't have needed converting I suspect. The book is aimed that the majority who are yet to learn the reality. As for solutions, these are also discussed by Matt on various platforms, including here. End mass uncontrolled immigration, detain and deport, leave the ECHR, repeal the human rights act, re-establish the sovereignty of Parliament, no welfare support for foreign nationals, ban incompatible cultural practices such as cousin marriage, face coverings, Halal, rape gangs, etc, deport the foreign criminals clogging up our prisons, break up the ghetto's and insist upon assimilation in British culture. All of these measures with turn the tide and see us heading in the right direction. I'm sure your copy of Matt's book will arrive shortly.

Yes Toot, it’s not “ rocket science” but ignorance and apathy throughout our nation. I heard over the weekend a statement from “ Lord Hermer” who stated that “The New World Order” was now established in Europe !

Who asked for this !

I want my country back !

We need to fight now against our disgraceful Government!

Toot The Shoot's avatar

Hermer and Labour will be an irrelevance after the next GE. In any event, how can a 'New World Order' be established in Europe? A New World Order is taking shape but, Europe has no part in it.

Wendy Collins's avatar

That man is on a different planet. Apparently he’s addressing students at Manchester Uni this evening on the importance of international law and rules-based order. Meanwhile Trump, Putin, the IRGC, Xi etc plough on 🤦🏻‍♀️

Penelope Beck's avatar

Hermer is abhorrent and has been making a lot of money out of the immigration racket. No wonder he supports it.

Jonathan Ward's avatar

You miss the point. The question is what can I or we do now. I do understand only too well what needs to be done but that is after a Reform majority is sitting in the H of Commons which is by no means certain. All I feel I can do is let the 'world' know my views and that seems to me to be a little inadequate. Sharia, surprisingly, you do not mention nor the radical Imams preaching jihad.

Toot The Shoot's avatar

Two things we can do, spread the word as far and wide as possible and, vote for Reform UK at every opportunity, both of which would make a Reform UK government more likely after the next GE. You asked for suggestions, I provided some. You even came up with some of your own :-)

I have considerable sympathy for what you say, as I feel the same. But:

We all need to be better informed about the issues. Until I read this today I’d never heard Matt’s answer to the “nation of immigrants” argument. Then we need to discuss issues with our acquaintances and bring them around to our way of thinking, or at least make them start to question the assumptions which have policies have been based on for decades. This requires rational argument backed up by facts.

Another aspect is that most of us will have knowledge based on our own occupation or locality or particular circumstances. I work for the NHS and the sheer dishonesty of policies and propaganda put out by management or professional bodies drives me mental. But most of the time I rage in private, and only occasionally do I write and tell them what I think. I need to change and be more forthright in public.

The majority of people in this country will go on voting for the uni party until they are persuaded to stop. Is making that case someone else’s responsibility or do you and I have a role too?

I’m not preaching to the converted here, I’m preaching to myself! I need to change and learn to be bolder. I doubt if I’m the only one.

Waterstones website indicates it takes 2 weeks to order from the publisher.

I live in Milton Keynes. The change has been incredibly rapid. If you go to the shopping centre it's pretty clear white British are already a minority. The Catholic school where my kids went now mostly African. We never asked for this and isn't a crime to want to live amongst people who look like you and share your values. We need to turn this around.

The war with Iran is not just about the US military, it has exposed the fact that Iran has been preparing for a war against the West for decades. It can also be viewed as a War against the exstremes of Islam, to protect Western values and culture.

Winning should slow this advance and can bring peace in the region, but Europe leaders are still refusing to accept the reality in many countries, including the UK.

Pivotal moment coming up in May with the midterms. We’ll see the political direction of travel and most likely the next Government.

Observations from the Bridge's avatar

Thank you Matt for the signed copy which arrived on Saturday. I spent Sunday morning reading it with a cup of coffee and by the end felt I needed a whisky. Many of the themes set out in the book will not be new to long term subscribers such as myself, but I suspect that this isn’t the target audience for the book.

As with every book I read I pick up a new phrase and this was no different picking up the phrase’ Censorship Industrial complex’ I see that one of the panellists on GB News Andy Twelves has already criticised your statistics and claims on X (though having watched him on GB News this was to be expected)

I don’t disagree with your points however I hope that the next book when you are a MP clearly sets out what actions and steps are going to be taken in order to rectify this as this was in my opinion a shortfall in the book.

It is an observation that many political parties are good at highlighting issues but less forthcoming as to the concrete steps that are needed to rectify. Paraphrasing what Douglas Carswell said last week on Kemi Badenoch its like going to see a doctor with something like cancer and being offered a lemsip.

There is a danger that you fall into the trap like the Tories and Labour have done of talking tough on immigration but with no deliverable or SMART targets when you are in a position to deliver

People can see the problems but need guidance as to ‘What Next’

Chapter 8 goes down this line but it is only in the last few pages that there is a ‘What needs to be done’ I hope that this is a theme that will be developed over time by you in future posts or books.

Toot The Shoot's avatar

Matt has set out repeatedly what needs to be done, which is mainly about removing the incentive to come here. End mass uncontrolled immigration (stop the boats and close the borders), detain and deport, leave the ECHR, repeal the human rights act, re-establish the sovereignty of Parliament, no welfare support for foreign nationals, no citizenship for illegal immigrants, ban incompatible cultural practices such as Sharia courts, cousin marriage, face coverings, Halal, rape gangs, etc, deport the foreign criminals clogging up our prisons, break up the ghetto's and insist upon assimilation in British culture. All of these measures with turn the tide and see us heading in the right direction.

Penelope Beck's avatar

Yes but no argument about the difficulties that will be encountered in taking these steps and how to overcome them.

Toot The Shoot's avatar

Agree but, that is what Reform UK are busy preparing for.

Evola's Sunglasses's avatar

Whatever happens White will want their own political representation, particularly as they become a minority in their ancestral homeland.

Everything else is a sideshow or containment operation.

Ken Charman's avatar

If we add voters supporting the Greens, Labour, Libdems, SNP, Plaid Cymru and muslim MPs together they have a majority in the UK. Unfortunately, it’s too late to stop.

Potty Bird's avatar

Which is why I repeatedly say the right leaning parties should amalgamate and WORK TOGETHER!🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Ken Charman's avatar

The Conservatives are part of the problem

Potty Bird's avatar

Absolutely, I would include them with the rest of the creatures you listed above!🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

I've had an email to say my book is on its way. Perhaps the delay being experienced is because there's been a deluge of orders!😞🤞🤞🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

I was just wondering if you still thought that populism was a problem, given that several years ago you were working to prevent it?

Harambe's avatar

The Left will rejoice.

This is the outcome they have always wanted!

Can be slowed down, but probably too late to reverse now.

The book's reviews on Amazon are saying it's AI generated and tosh - and criticisms mention nothing specific. I reported one review to Amazon a few days ago and today I see that the review has been removed. Today I reported a second and suggest others do the same.
