What struck me throughout the weekend was that this no longer felt like a protest movement. It felt like a party seriously preparing to govern. Members were not simply united by what they oppose; there was a real appetite to discuss what must be built, how it can be delivered and how Britain can recover its confidence.
Your speech captured the historical significance of the moment. The party names have changed over the past twenty years, but the message from millions of people has remained remarkably consistent: they want secure borders, national sovereignty and a government that listens to them rather than lectures them.
The establishment repeatedly dismissed those people instead of addressing their concerns. Reform’s opportunity now is to turn that long revolt into a credible programme of national renewal. The scale, energy and optimism in Birmingham suggested that process is already well underway.
Fantastic speech Matt. Thank you for your commitment to Great Britain and to its future under Reform. I 🙏🏾 that, whenever the election comes, Reform will have a tidal wave of success across our country and wash away the dirt and corruption of the past decades. It is time for decent, patriotic people to lead our country - not ideological idiots, not money grubbing PPE students, not grifting conmen……but a forward looking party with a determined leader and a united cabinet - united in making Britain the kind, law abiding, hard working place that it once was and deserves to be again. Reform must now go out into the country to spread the detail of their policies…….the fact that the only way that Reform can get a public platform is through YouTube is a sad reflection of the duplicity and anti British agenda of MSM. They only mention Reform if it is to denigrate Nigel. Shame on them. May they get their ‘reward’ when Reform takes power!
Matt, why does no-one from the Uniparty or the Greens ever speak about the contents of the Koran, and what the Koran urges on the faithful Muslim? That every non-Muslim is an enemy? And that in the West, Muslims are living in the land of the enemy? Why do we never hear Muslim clerics defending the Koran and its lessons? Or that the aim of a Muslim society is to introduce laws based on the Koran? Or defending the frequent attacks by Muslims on Britons?
By default, we are letting go of our country and its culture.
A great speech Matt. However the conference was overhadowed by alleged financial misdemeanours and once again the party was painted as being one of sleaze. What is it that Reform officials don't get? They need to be whiter than white, squeakier than squeaky clean. The MSM are looking for any opportunity to bring them down...and those opportunities present themselves with alarming regularity. This puts ordinary voters and waverers off supporting Reform because I think there are many of us out there who just want a political representation that is above the lies, deceit and corruption that the Uniparty are mired in. Yet the face we see is no better than the rest and this must change if Reform are serious about regaining the lead in the polls and governing this country. I am disappointed and worried.
Matt, you are too good for the Reform Party. Unfortunately, Nigel cannot work well with other people. There are too many mistakes about monetary matters, giving the left plenty of ammunition to accuse Nigel and Reform of sleaze. The right is divided, and Jenrick’s recent utterances are not helpful. To answer him, I would say that wearing balaclavas is normal, given the propensity of the Labour Government to use draconian tactics to pursue its mass immigration agenda. As Dr Betz says, it seems that there is no democratic means of stopping the current trajectory. The right is totally divided against the well organised left. A 2029 election (or earlier) is going to be a further disastrous outcome for the right.
