I fail to understand why polygamy is accepted for a certain demographic when it is against the law in this country and cousin marriage can only lead to birth defects because of consanguinity which will be a further drain on NHS resources. Yet another example of our two tier society!

John Birch's avatar

Everything comes down to one simple reason because we are afraid of them.

They become instantly violent in an extremely short space of time .

Mfyffe's avatar

Because they only know one way - violence. Things like "Enlightenment" and "Reformation" can only occur where there is a certain amount of intelligence.

Natasha's avatar

Our politicians are afraid, or else they want the muslim vote, except Lowe & Habib who notably call it all out. And why do they become instantly violent? It's a vicious circle.

Richard North's avatar

They are afraid AND they crave the Muslim vote.

Mfyffe's avatar

They appear to be too brainwashed and unintelligent to be able to function in any way except lies and violence.

John Birch's avatar

But those defects are extremely valuable to Muslims instant access to more benefits instant access to Motability cars.

The more birth defects, the better as far as Muslims are concerned .

John Birch's avatar

No one ever asks how many Motability cars are used as taxis .

Have you ever seen it mentioned? .

Give it two or three years and there will be shock horror stories in the Sunday newspapers about how Muslims abuse the Motobility car scheme .

Mfyffe's avatar

Like the way everything else is abused?

Vivienne Cudd's avatar

The children attending a SEN school Bucks are mostly Pakistani very few blacks or whites. Many are severely mentally damaged & some physically. There are a fleet of taxies (at least 40) every morning and afternoon ferrying the children to and from school. All are Pakistani and all the taxies are driven by Pakistanis with a Pakistani chaperone. All paid for by Bucks County Council.

Mfyffe's avatar

That figures. Who pays, and who benefits? Win: a free SEN education - win: taxi drivers - win: chaperones. Nice little earner for one section of our society.

Richard North's avatar

Let's face it - they don't fund the costs of the consequences.

English Voice's avatar

Women don’t matter to them. Crimes are hidden in the clan group. I saw this in Luton where rape within the family was protected. Opposition to marrying outside the clan is severe. A colleague faced years of opposition from family as she wanted to marry an outsider. She relented and her chosen/ arranged match resulted in numerous miscarriages and Doctors said she would never have children. Many of the Specialist Units in schools will be dominated by children born as a result of cousin marriage. Hardly fair on taxpayers.

John Birch's avatar

Invite the third world and you get the third world.

They don’t change by crossing the channel.

Mfyffe's avatar

But WE didn't invite them.

John Birch's avatar

We were never asked and never will be

Mfyffe's avatar

We need to be able to enforce our wishes for a decent society from those we pay supposedly to carry out our wishes. There is no "delegation" of our authority to MPs because they don't behave as delegates.

Val Shield's avatar

My point exactly 😢

Sebastian Hayes's avatar

As with so many other practices, this country's executive (the cabinet) shies away from imposing the law if it involves Moslems as this is going to be extremely difficult to do and opens the gate to shrieks of racism and Islamophobia. State weakness is NEVER a good thing, it is weak state power in the West that allows and even drives extremism as e.g. Germany in the Twenties which couldn't control either the S.A. or communist inspired riots. We know the result. There is a disturbing pattern that a weak executive with warring groups that hate each other and BOTH despise the executive gives rise to civil collapse or civil war.

Tenaciously Terfin's avatar

Thanks for speaking out about this horrendous practice Matt. Not only does it massively increase birth defects and increase clan based, tribal thinking, it is destroying the culture and homogeneity of this country. That’s without considering the cost of the birth defects and the number of Muslims on benefits, either because they are female and aren’t expected to work or the defects and lower IQ makes them difficult to employ. These problems are only going to increase over time as numbers increase.

Our leaders and so called betters should be in prison for the damage they have caused. I couldn’t despise them more.

Hilary more than one question's avatar

You got it right there TT… “destroying the culture and homogeneity of this country; it is undoubtedly so! Inner city Leicester… seen it, had to teach those with the defects, battled the tribal ‘cultural norms’, to no avail because ‘they’ know that they are protected by successive governments … it’s the trap I hope Reform don’t fall down and are wise not to given their recent defections… not that I’m against the people it’s the perniciousness of the ideology that’s the worry.

Tenaciously Terfin's avatar

Yes exactly, the ideology is the root of so many of the problems. Many Muslims wish we’d clamp down harder on extremist and outdated attitudes and practices. The UAE has just restricted scholarships to this country for fear of radicalisation at our universities!

Tracy Hill's avatar

This is the madness. That strict Muslim countries in the Middle East are highlighting problems happening on our doorstep. For example the burka is banned in Tunisia, Muslim Brotherhood is outlawed in Egypt and Saudi and others. It's utter madness how we dither and drag our heals on these issues.

Kevan Chippindall-Higgin's avatar

Lower IQ also makes them much easier to control. Never forget that Islam means submit.

Carolyn Le Ponteur's avatar

Our Governments are more like international charities than loyal servants of the British people.

Natasha's avatar

Well put. But one is globalist in outlook, the other believes in a nation, a people and service.

Natasha's avatar

Yes a 5 million population doubling every 10 years will soon be intractable without action, I wonder what percentage engage in it, undoubtedly many don't.

Jonathan Ward's avatar

It needs to be mentioned that the fact is that Labour believes it has a near monopoly of the Muslim vote and will not risk that. This is another proof that Starmer never acts in the best interests of this country, he always put Party first and that he will not be forgiven for. There should not be a definition of Islamophobia as it is not necessary (and anyway racist) if our laws are applied without fear of favour (which they're not). Muslim exceptionalism must be countered, there is no justification for the special pleading and treatment of Muslims; believe me what we have now is the tip of an iceberg if it left unchecked; we have a vast elephant in the room that needs action take. Vote Reform.

Gordon Fiander's avatar

Great piece Matt.

The time has definitely arrived that the wider community must exert safeguards to protect itself from these malign influences. Ban cousin marriage, ban polygamy, ban religious slaughter of animals....these are our ' British' values..they must have precedent.

The Overton window has shifted towards action from passive acceptance. If measures like these are not taken we will be in for serious civil disorder. We should not accept the creeping tribal, Islamism.

Just look at what transpired when a football team from Israel were due to play in Birmingham...our police bowed to pressure from militant Islamists..non of this is acceptable, the push back must begin now.

Best wishes Matt, All

Kevan Chippindall-Higgin's avatar

Religious slaughter of animals also extends to the Jewish kosher practice. Indeed, this is where Islam got if from.

We should remove religious exemption when it comes to the slaughter of animals. If they want halal/kosher meat, it must be imported and clearly labelled in large letters. It goes without saying that it must conform to our meat hygiene and quality standards. Anybody doing a bit of DIY slaughter in the back garden must, upon conviction, be deported.

Mfyffe's avatar

As if. People doing a bit of r*pe aren't deported so no chance. Our nobbled leftard judiciary and our infiltrated infested civil service will make sure of that.

Carolyn Le Ponteur's avatar

What form of Civil disorder would work? Non payment of Council Taxes or a General Strike?

The Martyr's avatar

If immigrants (and we are talking about recent immigrants here) want to legalise incest the best answer for all is if they return to their home country. Allowing incest (it’s not cousin marriage it’s incest) is cruel to the deformed offspring who have miserable lives. Ban it. Ban it. Ban it!!!

Potty Bird's avatar

Hear hear!🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Alistair Kerr's avatar

Well said, Matt. One dynasty that practiced first cousin marriage a lot - even occasionally marrying their aunts and nieces, with a Papal Dispensation - was the Spanish Habsburgs. The last Habsburg King of Spain (Charles II) was physically and mentally subnormal. His surviving portraits, which are presumably intended to be flattering, are nonetheless grotesque.

Natasha's avatar

Yes, grotesque is the word. Queen Victoria's line also suffered i believe through the Royal practice of blue blood cousin marriages.

Alistair Kerr's avatar

Yes; in Victoria's case haemophilia was the main problem. It seems to have originated with her father, Edward, Duke of Kent.

Natasha's avatar

I think a couple of children ended up in an asylum for life, cousins of the Queen or something, (Nerissa and katherin Bowes Lyon) there was a child kept hidden due to his epilepsy or something, (Prince John of Wales, sone of George 5th) and then George 3rd too. Possibly Harry...has difficulties too

Mfyffe's avatar

Phillip's side were also descended from Victoria. Charles has been shown to be biologically rather inbred.

Maybe his "airhead" (by her own admission) mother and his inbred genes from his father have contributed to the "issues|" that Harry appears to have.

Natasha's avatar

His nanny said he was born angry and his school performance attests to his low intelligence and he's definitely impulsive aggressive. He certainly got the short straw in many respects. His good fortune he threw away for TW.

Yes he was, a third cousin to QE2. Yet Philip was very intelligent, astute, handsome capable funny.

Mfyffe's avatar

It's a shame that Philip's positive attributes seemed to pass down only to Anne.

Carolyn Le Ponteur's avatar

How we miss them both now. A woke Remainer King is all we need.

Carolyn Le Ponteur's avatar

I rather see Harry as all Spencer.

Natasha's avatar

Quite, the red hair. The Spencers weren't without inherited "issues" either!

Carolyn Le Ponteur's avatar

Not to forget the Egyptian dynasties with brother/sister marriage.

RiseN'Guard's avatar

Muslims and the West don't mix. Poland has no social problems and here is why: https://youtu.be/n5ZHYAk5X5w?si=Lc3sqp8d4pV1mmJy

Andrew Crean's avatar

We are moving around the deckchairs on the Titanic. Just ban Islam and its adherents from Britain and so many problems including this one melt away.

Lesley Snell's avatar

Difficult to articulate the scale of my horror at these Muslim practices . Banning this, banning that , really skirts around the issue which is their culture is not compatible with ours and eventually one side will have to win out .

Carolyn Le Ponteur's avatar

Or perhaps return to their own countries where they might be a lot happier. Weather is definitely better!

Lesley Snell's avatar

Ha. There is the weather ! They will only return en masse if forced to. The intention is to colonise this country. While the British wallow in apathy the Moslems are aiming to increase their presence in councils and Parliament until they have control. They are already disproportionately represented

Bettina's avatar

If the people who indulged in cousin marriage were financially responsible for the consequences, then maybe we as a society could turn a blind eye to it. However, in our welfare state, others have to pay the medical and social costs. It must therefore be banned. Alternatively, scrap the welfare state and reduce our taxes.

The Martyr's avatar

It’s not about the money Bettina. If only one deformed child was born as a result of incest (cousin marriage) it would be too many and totally avoidable. It’s just wrong and disgusting in a modern society. What’s wrong with these people?

Mfyffe's avatar

Their "culture". Which is incompatible with, and will destroy ours, given the chance.

The Martyr's avatar

“Their culture” is corrosive and is well on the way to destroying our indigenous culture. While the nonsensical mantra of “diversity is our strength” keeps getting trotted out by evil men such as Sadiq Khan and King Charles III, we remain in trouble.

Bettina's avatar

I agree of course - that's basic! However, some cultures do not even do 'basic' and we will not 'fix' that. It's not our culture to fix. The government however thinks all cultures are equal so we cannot even get to the starting block with that line of moralising.

Carolyn Le Ponteur's avatar

Suicidal Empathy springs to mind.

No, one shouldn't destroy other people's cultures. One should merely keep them from polluting our own culture. In their own country.

Natasha's avatar

That assumes an iq and culture predicated upon thinking ahead, forward planning and responsibility for consequences a law abiding nature along with the intelligence required.

Mfyffe's avatar

In which case forget it.

Potty Bird's avatar

Once again, it's all part of the plan to destroy Britain and its indigenous people! And why? Because we were once a great country, but we've lost our will to fight all this treachery! GOD HELP US ALL!🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Mfyffe's avatar

It's precisely because we were a great country that we have to be destroyed. Can't get in the way of the globalists, can we?

Carolyn Le Ponteur's avatar

Have we lost our will?

John Birch's avatar

And using Motability cars as taxis, Money laundering and renting each others houses.

The list is endless.

Ian Ross's avatar

Supporting incest in unconscionable. It’s that simple. Otherwise it could be there is some other motive for supporting incest? Vote pandering perhaps? The government have a lot to answer for on this.

Carolyn Le Ponteur's avatar

The Govt has a lot to answer for...full stop.

Jean Davison's avatar

What the Labour Party does not seem to realise is that they only have a monoply on the Muslim vote at the moment. Once there are sufficient muslims in Parliament, local councils etc. the muslim vote will move and move immediately. This is the Labour Party thinking only of the short term

Mfyffe's avatar

Labour politicians and supporters do not appear to be the best cerebrally endowed.

Kevan Chippindall-Higgin's avatar

Cousin marriages might well be legitimate cultural practice over there but it is totally unacceptable here. Banning such practice should be enshrined in law. Instead, Labour attracting all sorts of labels yet is quite happy to see the strain on the NHS rise and rise.

FGM has been on sensible people's agenda for at least a decade. Anybody who has read Ayaan Hirsi Ali will grasp the absolute horror and pain, as well as the risk of fatal infection. It is quite rightly banned in the UK, but where is the enforcement? Nowhere, because it violates cultural sensitivities. What total nonsense. Such barbaric practices should be rooted out of UK society and anybody found practising it deported along with any spouse(s) and relatives who have covered things up. Any medical practioner found to have assisted the practive, even by keeping quiet, nust be struck off and deported.

I know that I keep harping on about deportations, but you do not cure cancer by asking it politely to move along. It has to be surgically removed and sometimes healthy tissue has to go as well.

The only way we are to be rid of FGM, forced marriages, cousin marriages, child rape gangs and sharia marriages is to remove the problem. People either abide by our laws and culture or they must be slung out of the country.

If their countries of origin do not take them back, all incoming visas must cease, existing visa holders have their documents cancelled and deported and face punitive tariffs on their goods. Obviously, aid will also cease, even in times of crisis. Everything must stop.

Jillian Stirling's avatar

It’s the only way.

Natasha's avatar

Farage wants the muslim vote, he is resigned to long term presence of Islam and their expanding demography on these islands, which means this and other practices will just carry on even if banned. Threats of violence if challenged no doubt. He doesn't care about demographic change either, or so he said.

Kevan Chippindall-Higgin's avatar

I must disagree. Nigel has no hope of getting the Muslim vote. Tradionally, that went to Labour through the postal vote system, which is roundly abused by the socialists, both here and in the US.

Islam UK no longer needs the useful idiots of the left. Various Muslim enclaves are now sufficiently numerous to elect their own Gazan MPs. Therefore, Nigel would be wasting his time and resources chasing that vote.

Equally, if he cleared them all out, Reform would do very nicely. The legal, sensible Muslims can stay. The illegal and violent types must go, at which point the peaceful ibes would no longer be intimidated.

Natasha's avatar

Thank you so much for your thoughts. You are right of course, that increasingly there is independent or Green party options available. And he rightly wants to give space for moderate adapted muslims to join his party. But i'm not sure where he's headed if you remember the Steve Edgington interview comments. He seems to be turning quite establishment, or Tory 2.0 as people put it. I hope i'm wrong and you are right.

Kevan Chippindall-Higgin's avatar

I am concerned about some of the Tories coming across. Nadeem Zahawi was caught out fiddling his taxes, which is never a goid look fir an MP and even worse for a minister.

He attacked Nigel in the past. Suddenly becoming his best buddy makes me suspicious. He wants a peerage and the Tories will not give him one. Reform is his best chance.

I would be far happier if the likes of Luz Truss, Ian Duncan-Smith and Jacob Rees-Mogg joined. They have always disliked tge EU, been very worried about migration and recognise net zero for the nonsense that it is. Birus should never be allowed anywhere near Reform.

He is articulate, charming and charismatic. He is also a complete menace and has dobe an immense amount if damage to the country.

Natasha's avatar

Agree with your concerns, Truss et al and Braverman would be fantastic. Too many have no principles and just further their career, blowing with the wind. Cunningham ruled out jenrick which is odd.

Zahawi said he'd never live here if Farage was in power, called him the R word and much else besides. Cunningham failed to make the grade too, withdrawing as councillor last minute, though she sounds good, but holds rather contradictory views and attacked Dan Wootton. Slurring others on the right is not a good look for the party.

Kevan Chippindall-Higgin's avatar

Even if the sensibles stay with the Tories, assuming they can continue draining their internal swamp, they would largely support Reform in government, although by then, their seats, and indeed Labour's, will probably struggle to reach double figures. The new left is the Green Party and they are even madder than Labour, which takes a bit of doing. They will fight it out with the lunatic Corbyn, which is fine by me.

I stood against Suella Braverman at the 2024 election. She is very sensible and an excellent MP. However, she was very cross I was standing and in effect, taking votes off her, which I did. She still won, but was reluctant to acknowledge that had the Tories done a proper job on Brexit and not betrayed the country at every other possible turn, I would not have needed to be there.

Maryanne's avatar

So, just WHO will you vote for. We are all well aware by now that you thoroughly dislike Farage and his party. WHO WILL YOU VOTE FOR? Are the others any better, no they are NOT, in fact far worse!

Natasha's avatar

There's no need to get angry with me!! I'm VERY sorry i'm upsetting you that much.

I want them to be better. This isn't a Reform fan club or a Farage groupie club. It's Matt's research, his substack, his thoughts which are not Reform's policies. I come for Matt's facts and figures and to share with others and learn.

I think they are making critical mistakes which will affect the ability to deliver and increasingly worried they are not what i hoped they would be.

Right now as i've said they are a million times better than the Uniparty, it goes without saying, never mind the useless Liberal & Greens.

How will i vote? I will see where we are come the election, if there is any other option, or if i believe Reform have got it more or less right. A lot can happen in 3 years. i will wait and see whatever Habib and Lowe comes up with. How i vote will depend partly on who has the most chance, he must get Labour out, but i'd rather vote for a party i believe in and trust with policies i want, joined up thinking, a clear vision, vote with my heart not for the least worst. This is the last chance. I already told you i want Reform to succeed, if they are the best vehicle but wait and see.

Am i not allowed an opinion or a space to voice concerns according to you? I like Matt's interviews when i catch them. He is great. he is SUPERB in debate

Maryanne's avatar

I am not angry, you have insulted me because I am no groupie - but have noticed how often you diss Nigel and Reform, I too like Lowe and Habib, especially Habib and was very disappointed when he left Reform, but the way I see it is that Habib and Lowe will not even make first base come the next election and anyone voting for them will simply give the show away to letting one of the Uniparty back into power for another 5 years, 5 more years of what we are seeing now doubled down, could there possibly be any more of a disaster than that possibility! Also do you think that Reform can possibly play all of their cards now with so much time left still to go to the election, they would be foolish to do so and I personally am not naive enough to believe they would, or should.

Natasha's avatar

Well you sound angry to me and we had this conversation before. I don't know how to explain my position more than i have. Why can't i criticise F the man or his choices if i see fit, with reason, when the future of the country is at stake? Why do you assume 3 years ahead of election that Reform is the only choice or should be free from scrutiny. I will wait and see how things evolve. No party should make arrogant presumption of voters, and i was a "subscriber" until Lowe got booted out. We all want to break the globalist unholy alliance stranglehold don't we? Who is best, it's too early to say, we don't how the next 3 years will unfold.

I have not insulted you, or not intentionally, my point was that if this substack belonged to Nigel Farage or was a fan site i could understand your ire at what would then be rudeness. But it isn't. It is Matt's, an academic and journalist who only recently proclaimed his party loyalty.

Matt i have deep respect for, his work and gratitude for the space here to share. He is a good chap who reads the comments, perhaps sends feedback so i stick my 2 bits worth. If you don't like my 2 bits worth that's fine.

Maryanne's avatar

I have never ever said that Reform should be free from scrutiny, please do not put words into my mouth. The only comment I have made is that you seem to dislike them. I stand by that comment.

Jannie's avatar

Well done for stating the 'bleedin obvious!'

Kevan Chippindall-Higgin's avatar

Well, somebody has to and the more of us that do so, the quicker the scales will fall from people's eyes. This is not just cousin marriage. It is all the other nonsense we have to contend with. Stuff like 74 genders, non binary gender and men in women's sport. The list goes on. The most expensive, in cash rather than cultural terms, is net zero. It is a complete waste of money.

John Birch's avatar

And borrowing each other’s children for benefit fraud that would be just a start.
