Well white boys in general are discriminated against. Try getting into Medical school with excellent A levels, or science degree courses, or pharmacy or the RAF, you don't stand a chance if you're a white male (allegedly) . MSM then tells us we need all these migrants to do all these jobs for us. It might be because we don't allow white people into these professions.
If your son wants to do an internship in the Civil Service, forget it, those opportunities are only available to ethnic minorities!
Great interview with Katherine Birbalsingh on Liam Halligan’s When the facts change podcast, it is available to non subscribers.
Everything you mention Matt is solvable if the educational establishment could absorb the lessons from her astonishing success.. do not hold your breath.
Yesterday, on GCSE results day, I attended the launch of Reform UK’s new apprenticeship policy at the McLoughlin Group in Enfield.
Our host, Kevin McLoughlin MBE, grew up on a council estate and left school with no O Levels. He went on to build an extraordinarily impressive painting and decorating business that has created opportunities for apprentices for decades.
Kevin made a particularly disturbing point in his speech. Around seven years ago, he began noticing that young people were arriving with GCSEs but without the basic literacy and numeracy skills they needed in the workplace. He now uses specialist support to help manage that process.
That tells us the problem is even deeper than these statistics suggest. Some boys leave school with no qualifications, while others possess certificates that do not reliably demonstrate the basic skills employers need.
Kevin’s story also demonstrates why apprenticeships must stop being presented as a consolation prize for children who are supposedly not academic. A proper apprenticeship provides skills, income, responsibility, confidence, dignity and a route towards building something of your own.
We are failing these boys twice: first by allowing them to leave school without the necessary foundations, and then by looking down upon one of the most credible routes through which they could rebuild their confidence and become successful men.
Absolutely agree. There is somehow a stigma attached to vocational courses and trades. Perhaps due to the class system or government turning polytechnics into universities as if it's somehow embarrassing have gone through that more vocational route. I'd encourage my child into an apprenticeship in a heartbeat. Most jobs now ask for experience so it's a catch 22. More apprenticeships would solve so many problems for children who are otherwise forced to drop out of society and into benefits.
An interesting alternative view of the state of our education system. Some of the problems for white working class boys stem from the extremely poor parenting they receive and also because of their family background where there are likely several generations who have not worked or who have only worked occasionally and who are now deeply entrenched in the benefits system - either by choice or circumstances which have now trapped them there. These role models do not help the children. There is also too much focus on academic success - yet we need skilled trades like never before - these kids are instead pushed through an education system that labels them a failure and which fails to inspire them. I have a friend whose son is very bright but who is turned off by academic subjects. Give him an old car engine to strip and repair and he's in his element. He has done so much better since he began vocational studies to become an electrician.
Positive discrimination has been present for too long. The reality is that it is still discrimination and should be called out as such.
It's odd how the UK has a habit of frowning on trades and elevating those with academic qualifications. Could be partly due to a class system. Then we changed polys to become universities as if it were somehow embarrassing to have a degree from a poly. We need vocational courses secondary schools or entirely vocation schools. If you fall behind in academia and fail from the start what is the point of continuing the academic route when your time could be better spent learning a trade alongside basic English and maths. Some kids continue completely disillusioned from the start and never catch up. Other European countries have had vocational options for decades and don't send an absurd amount of the population to university.
I have a degree from a Poly - my parents were disappointed when I chose that over university. I wanted a course that gave me an option to do a year's placement in the real world and one that gave me a route into a career. I studied Accountancy & Finance, worked in the finance function of a Unilever company for a year and walked straight into a job on graduating. I went on to be an FD, CEO and business owner and retired at 56.
That does not reconcile with the story of deprivation we are told about in minority communities. Indeed they come here for a better life which clearly means it was worse back home.
This trend is seen in Selective Grammar Schools and in Medicine where over 40% of medical students are from what was called BAME backgrounds. The one ethnic group you won’t see in the surgeons’ tea room, is a white working class surgeon.
I’ve been following Katharine Birbalsingh for some time. She has clashed with Bridget Philipson, who told her they, her dept, is going to normalise the education system, bring all schools down to one level. Mediocrity rules. https://youtu.be/Eqj_SnTIhNY?is=1VuOGDVpQZuvTMu1
As the victims of Pakistani grooming gangs are white working class girls. They don’t fit the narrative. The uniparty agree with Hilary Clinton’s description of them as ‘Deplorables.’ This is the class upon which the wealth of our nation was built. In the mines and the factories. Living in squalid unhealthy conditions. Despised by the government which should represent them.
Their narrative is that the country was built by immigrants. YAWN. The white working class has been completely demonised, called chavs and worse and left to rot after their industries were ripped out from under them and globalisation took hold with manufacturing shifting abroad. A process started by Thatcher unfortunately.
My grandfather was down the pit aged eleven. My grandmother worked in a cotton mill. Their poverty was palpable. I grew up in a pit house. I’m not supposed to remember this. As I have two degrees, Labour would claim me one of theirs. It wasn’t easy as my grammar school was destroyed whilst I was there. The working class has to be kept down…….
It would be interesting to see a breakdown of the white working class boys into:
a) those who come from a two-parent WORKING family;
b) those who come from a one-parent WORKING family;
c) those who come from a two-parent NON-WORKING family;
d) those from a one-parent NON-WORKING family
I wouldn't mind betting that the vast majority of "white working class" boys who have no educational qualifications come from (c) and (d). In other words they're not white working class. They're the non-working white underclass. And Labour has just encouraged them to breed even more by reinstating unlimited child benefit.
It's so important that the Right has a positive educational and economic message for post Industrial wastelands.
Millions of our own people who live in post industrial wastelands will stick with Labour and just fear the Right will take their benefits off them and provide no solutions.
You will find parallels with this in every occupied country throughout history. When a country is taken over by an occupying power, the new masters have to find a way of keeping the native people from rebelling, so they recruit a portion of the indigenous people to positions of administrative power, who will allocate their allegiance to their masters and in doing so will zealously use their authority to keep the masses under control. This is the blueprint practised by most occupying forces and it is the one in use in Britain today.
In order to prevent rebellion by the masses, those masses must be kept in the dark and starved of education, because knowledge is power, which is why the Government is doing all it can to act in great secrecy and is why it is desperate to shut down the internet and social media, because this is the most effective means that the masses have for access to the truth. There is a reason why so many Lefties hate Elon Musk, and that is because he demands that the masses can find the truth on the internet, and this is why the Government is doing all it can to restrict access. If things do not change very soon, the majority of white, British people will find themselves reduced to a rump of the population, with the same degree of power as the Red Indians in the USA or the Aborigines in Australia.
Utterly appalling and I suspect occurring either from fear of being called racist, or because our education system and the Home Office is stuffed by individuals who for various reasons, despise our culture and and history.
But one must add to that the lamentable failure by previous governments to insist on our children being taught what it means to be British, to annually celebrate this and our achievements as a nation, and teach the history and immense value of our currently declining democratic system.
In conclusion I feel obliged to add that a people or nation which turns its back on the Christian Faith and its associated values which our nation has done, which have sustained us for centuries, will inevitably be punished by the Creator God of the Holy Bible. One only has to read about the history of Israel to see what can happen.
Listen to Katherine Birbalsingh’s podcast Strictly Education. The way she was and is still pillioried by our politicians , teachers and all who have tried to stop this force of nature is astounding. Who doesn’t want the best education for every child in this country? Well, the Labour Party for a start. Everyone should hear it. Bridget Phillips mocked her in their interview when she was supposedly Minister of Education with seemingly no interest in results. The all round fantastic results from her school should make the government proud, but the politics of envy rife in our government is destroying this country. She should be the education advisor whoever is in government.

I'd venture to suggest that 'roughly zero% of them' progress into Oxford or Cambridge!
