It really feels like we are doomed from so many sides. Please get a seat, we need you so badly in Westminster

Jon B's avatar

If only we had a PM like Rupert Lowe in charge.

All he will do is split the so called right vote, he doesn't stand a snowball's chance of being elected, he is far too radical but I accept and agree with most of his policies.

Keir Starmer went straight to a gathering of Muslims in Westminster Hall??? I think I’m gonna throw up. He’s absolutely disgusting. What a worm.

Matt when a leader of a NATO member country conducts affairs of state in this manner, they are behaving like a Saudi or Jordanian or Egyptian head of state. Fear of your constituents who do not have your Nation’s fundamentals in their hearts is how leaders end up in exile. FYI US MILITARY will not be coming to the aid of the UK under current circumstances. Best of luck to the people of the United Kingdom who are truly on their own…unlike the freedom seeking peoples of Iran. Gary

How do you know what the Iranian people want? It appears a good chunk support the current leadership. Whatever is happening in Iran is not our fight. Our country is hollowed out, a shadow of its former self. I don’t want Britain getting into wars where there is no clear benefit to the British people. We’ve seen the damage of meddling in Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya. If Iran descends into chaos and Europe gets flooded with refugees, we’ll bear the brunt, costing us more money and making everyone less safe.

There is a clear benefit to the whole of the West in eliminating the leaders, particularly if a lasting solution can be found. Iran is behind most Islamic terror attacks and groups. They’ve been funding and training them since 1979. Imagine if they’d been able to develop nuclear weapons.

The Iranians I know all support the actions of Israel and the US and many of them would return if the Mullahs were gone. Iran is a developed and sophisticated country brought to beggary by the Islamist nutters in charge. A great deal of terrorism is sponsored by the Iranian regime, some of which has directly affected British citizens and certainly would have in the future without action. I suggest you find Rubio's speech on why the Israelis and the US went in now rather than leaving it. You may be unaware but the Iranian regime were very close (or may have already) developed missiles that could reach Europe.

Just because they are, in your opinion, a long way away does not preclude them from being an immediate and real threat to British citizens and interests.

Hey Jon B:

I appreciate your comments and fortunately you will get your wish regarding British non-participation in geopolitics. The British Air Force and Navy are ill-equipped to engage in any wars. The UK has insufficient numbers of ground-based military forces to meaningfully engage any external enemy, as well. Indeed, the UK being hollowed out is precisely what was intended by your new Islamist masters in the UK.

The lack-of-consensus information from within Iran that you cite is noted. I'm certainly unaware of any nation where there is measurable consensus for how to shake free from oppressors who use each morning's call to prayer at the mosque as times for executions of those who disagree with the Theocrats. Perhaps you're unaware of how many executions happen within Iran each week at morning prayers.

The volume of hypersonic missiles and fissile materiel available from Iran (as well as other UK adversaries like Russia and China and North Korea and Pakistan) stands in stark relief to the UK, has neither meaningful hypersonic missiles capability or fissile materials of importance. The UK has relied upon the United States for production of its nuclear warheads for quite some time. You needn't worry about the UK brandishing nuclear threats any longer because the US ceased supplying the UK with nuclear warheads because of the shift in UK geopolitical priorities. There are no disconnected corners of the world, unfortunately.

Lastly, as you prepare your intellectual rationale and "historical facts" response to my comments, please recognize that your preference for concessions and "frozen diplomacy" (European-style) to internal and external enemies-of-the-UK-state fits perfectly with your new masters' intentions. Because of the many years required to learn its precepts, if you've not already converted to Islam, then now may be the appropriate time to do so.

Best of luck in the Brave New UK, mate, and apologies if any of this seems disrespectful.

Gary

Jon B... the uk involvement is minor. And supporting your friends who are fighting a terrorist-nation is a good thing. But you are correct that a segment of Iran like their mullahs. So that means the world should take it in the $ss?

He would be happy to give £35 billion to Mauritius while leaving our Armed Forces and their families without naval cover in Cyprus. An absolute disgrace.

Absolutely right Matt, Starmer is a complete embarrassment, and our country has been humiliated

Cass's avatar

Very perceptive post. Let’s face it, Starmer is a liability. When world events prove challenging we need a Leader, not a pedantic, middle management pipsqueak.

Roy Gardiner's avatar

It's all so depressing. The character of Starmer and Hermer is loathsome.

That said, I hope this conflict will end soon and with no severe long term aftermaths as we saw with Iraq. Disinformation led us into that: I hope that is not the same with Iran.

In my view, the real threat to England is Islam, in all its manifestations.

Starmer is appalling leader he and his cronies fail to see that the Rules Based Order as they call it is redundant and has been replaced by three Regions of interest which includes : Russia China and USA . Each one’s region is ruled now by strength not International Law , Trump Putin and the Chinese have altered it . As such these three Powers have no interest or concern for international law. They will count their allies not as friends but as countries whose interests are similar to them . This I feel is where Khalid Starmer has made a fatal error in hesitating and rejecting the USA requests for assistance . Trump has a long memory as does Vance they are not liable to forget this .

Starmer is not a politician he’s no political judgemental or instincts are all . We will be left behind and find ourself with as much relevance as Switzerland .

Seb Thirlway's avatar

I wouldn't mind being as globally irrelevant as Switzerland, if we had the money and quality of life the Swiss have. But we neither have global relevance _nor_ a pleasant, wealthy life.

Seems to me that Starmer, having risen the dizzying heights of PM and, being surrounded by advisors and the civil service as he is, could not possibly be as incompetent as he appears. Which leaves the obvious conclusion that his actions are deliberate. If one holds that thought and then considers things like the Chinese Embassy, the Chagos Islands, Mandelson, the rape gangs enquiry / his reluctance to alienate certain sections of our society, Chinese spies being let off and now, withholding much needed support from our greatest ally whilst they take on the greatest scourge of our time, whilst dragging his heels over getting directly involved, what is one to think?? Could it be that this man is actually a puppet for a foreign regime?

CS S's avatar

I agree totally this was done by design by KS and his cronies not by accident.

Potty Bird's avatar

Frightening, but true. How do we get rid of Starmer legally? If not, illegally may be the only option! 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Toot The Shoot's avatar

Two months to the May elections, after which Starmer will go, whether he likes it or not. The problem is, what comes next?

Hilary more than one question's avatar

Sam Allardyce or Sean Dyche might stand in as interim PM, whoever isn’t PM can stand in as interim Ayatollah 😬… they couldn’t make a worse job, or leave the entire nation less embarrassed or poorly defended, than the self harming, international law obsessed joke we have for a PM and Muslim gimp led government.

Churchill faced up to all the appeasers who were like Starmer in in WW11. He knew what needed to be done and with the help of the US saved Europe from being taken over by Nazis.

Now that the UK is in deep danger of being taken over by the crazy left allied with Islamists we need another Churchill. Thank goodness we have someone with the same intelligence and backbone. We must all vote for Nigel and Reform.

@Starmer is a Chinese, Muslim, WEF, NATO, WHO asset, is indeed an ASS etc. The man could not lie strait in bed. He is clearly following orders, doing what he is told on pain of death, probably to his loved ones, as he has no self respect. Look at everything from Chagos, to ECHR and back to Mandelson and Lord Alley, also in the Epstein papers. Come on, wake the F up. He is a puppet. We have, with the Fabian Society, Blairs New order and now everything from the made up word Muslimaphobia, been sold down the river. Our once great nation has been systematically raped and pillaged by Blair, then Brown, who sold our gold bullion:https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-48177767, Then Cameron, with Osbourne, two upper class tossers and next Boris and Boriswave. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-48177768. Sunek, was and is in my opinion a criminal, He had a blind trust in Phizer, Moderna and god knows what. Now we have the sycophant, Starmer, bi sexual, coke head, complete tosser, what on earth are we doing. Our country is under attack and he, imbecile, wants to make sure our actions are legal. The Iranian regime killed approx 108,000 of its own people, which is a crime. Who is controlling this puppet, someone who wants something we don't, the loss of our sovereignty, our nation, our national determination and our will and ability to act. Do the F in Maths this man is a traitor.

Another great article Matt.

All this has made one thing even clearer to me that I already knew - if a hard-line Islamic state appeared in the UK then the likes of Starmer, Polanski and Corbyn would join it in an instant. They are a disgrace to this country.

Keir Starmer doesn't make me feel ashamed to be British. He makes me feel ashamed that he's British.

David Silverberg's avatar

In the late 1970s I was a young lad working for Navy Research in California. The Falkland Island war had broken out. And unknown to the media and most of the world, the US scrambled to help our British friends.

We were brothers. In our hearts, the British people are still our brothers. But your government today is unrecognizable.

How did this happen? Because of the cultural war against Nationalism. The globalists teach that Nationalism is bad. But it is globalism that is the heartless philosophy that aims to replace nations, cultures, and our humanity with mindless unelected power brokers. The Brits need their nationalism more than ever. Nationalism is good. Brits need to put the British people first. And do it with pride. It's now or never.

So very urgent. Because unlike WW2, where the enemy was external, today the Brits are slowly being "replaced" from within. They are being eaten from the inside. Unless you act now, and purge your anti-nationalists from your government, your lovely, beautiful, strong, successful and righteous people will be no longer.

Just saying. 🤷‍♂️

I can not believe that our Government thinks you can fight a war legally! 🤔 the Iranian exstream wont as we have seen over and over again. Leaders must think fast and act fast. Something Starmer and Labour dont realise.
