What. A. Year.
2025 did not just happen —it blew apart the traditional political map.
Political loyalties came undone. Tribal allegiances frayed. New fault lines opened up. Reform surged. Labour imploded. The Tories remained on life support. The economy tanked. And the political compass began to point in a very different direction.
In our direction. I look back at the last year and just see one argument after another that our community has won. We are proudly ahead of the curve and now the entire political system is moving in our direction.
Which is why, this Monday, exclusively for our most committed supporters, we will be hosting an End of Year Live conversation, on the Substack App, to look back on the last year and make some predictions for the year ahead.
We will dig into:
The moments that changed the game
The narratives that collapsed, and the ones that quietly became reality
What 2025 revealed about power, voters, the public mood, and institutions
The lessons almost everyone missed
And then we will look forward to:
The spring elections, and why they matter
Intensifying Labour factionalism and a potential implosion

The risks, opportunities, and shocks that could define the year ahead.
This will not be a monologue. It will be a live, interactive and candid discussion. Bring your questions, your challenges, your theories, even a drink if you fancy it.
I want our community to sign off this year feeling good about what we have achieved and feeling optimistic about the year ahead. Because three words are bubbling to the surface: change is coming.

I won’t make it Monday but the big issue for me at the moment is the gerrymandering of the local elections. Offering councils the “option” of deferred dates in 2028 not 2026. Banana republic stuff. UK Politicians shouldn’t bang on about Russia when they behave like this.
