With Donald Trump back in the White House, the UK Supreme Court recently ruling against gender ideology, and an assortment of conservative and national populist parties on the rise across the West, are we now witnessing the decline of woke —the end of the radical progressive left which peaked during the 2010s?

This is the question I’ll be debating at a big event in a few weeks, at London’s wonderful Emmanuel Centre, in the very heart of Westminster, alongside one of the world’s leading scholars of woke ideology, Professor Eric Kaufmann, the academic who coined the term ‘suicidal empathy’, Professor Gad Saad, and journalist and author Batya Ungar-Sargon, who has written extensively about how both the media and the elite class are failing working-class people in Western societies.
